IT'S OFFICIAL !!!

What:   World Record Attempt of “Most Holes of Mini Golf Played in 24 Hours”

Yep, it's true, Westerville Mini-golf and Batting cages is the new home of the Guiness Book's record. General Manager Dave Pfefferle accomplished the amazing feat on May 29, 2008. Beginning at 10 AM on May 28, Dave undertook the daunting endeavor of beating the long-standing record of 3035 consecutive holes of mini-golf played in 24 hours. 15 hours in to his attempt, at just after 1 AM on May 29, Dave surpassed the previous mark by completing his 3036th hole. But he didn't stop there, ohhhhh no! Dave still had nearly 9 hours remaining. He continued on, maintaining a nearly constant pace of completing a full 18-hole round in the 5 1/2 to 6 minute range. That pace, Dave's determination, and his objective of setting the new mark as high as he was physically able to, are the factors that allowed Dave to achieve the new record mark of 4729 consecutive holes!! Simply incredible. Nearly 1700 holes more than the previous record.

The Action

IT'S DONE!!!

And though it's great that Dave did set a new record here at our very own Westerville Mini-golf, the real reason for Dave's effort is the Stephanie Spielman Breast Cancer Fund. Thank You!! to all of you who came down in support of Dave for your contributions - for in the end, Dave was able to present over $7,000 to the Fund. That makes all the work worthwhile.
